La série Dioramas - Mirabilia est crée à partir d’éléments naturels collectés au cours de voyages et de silhouettes en papier découpées. 

A l’origine, le diorama est un spectacle en tableaux mis au point par Louis Daguerre en 1822. Les tableaux peints sur verre étaient mis en scène par des jeux optiques et d’éclairages changeants qui donnaient aux spectateurs l’illusion du mouvement. Il est ensuite devenu un dispositif muséographique historique et pédagogique mettant en scène la nature via des reconstitutions en volume. C'est cette  appartenance à l’archéologie de la photographie et du cinématographe, autant qu'à la représentation de la nature qui m’intéresse. A l’heure de l’hyper-production-consommation des images numériques, comment une composition qui s’inspire de l’histoire de la fabrication de l’image, de son lien avec la nature et avec le spectacle d’illusions peut-elle encore émerveiller, éveiller le regard ?

The Dioramas - Mirabilia series is created from natural elements collected during travels and cut-out paper silhouettes. 

Originally, the diorama is a spectacle in paintings developed by Louis Daguerre in 1822. The paintings painted on glass were staged by optical effects and changing lighting which gave spectators the illusion of movement. It then became a historical and educational museographic device showcasing nature via volume reconstructions. It is this belonging to the archeology of photography and cinematography, as much as to the representation of nature that interests me. At a time of hyper-production-consumption of digital images, how can a composition which is inspired by the history of the making of the image, its link with nature and with the spectacle of illusions, does it still amaze, arouse the gaze?
